Preseason Update #1

Welcome to the 2019 BSL Season. The planning for the season is well underway and we wanted to share with you some of the finalized details.
1. We have 5 new GMs this season with all of the inaugural GMs stepping down. We thank Ahmad Hussain, Umer Jabbar, Rizvan Merchant, Zahid Merchant and Hashim Ghazi for their contributions as GMs. We welcome new GMs Bilal Javed, Hassan Chaudhry, Owais Ansari, Taha Iqbal, Umair Sheikh and look forward to their contributions.
2. The BSL Draft will be held on Wednesday April 3rd at ISNA Masjid starting at 8:30pm
3. With Ramadan starting on May 5 and ending on June 4, we have the ability to add a couple more games to the season.
Here is the tenative schedule for the 2019 season:
BSL Draft: April 3rd
Preseason: May 5th
Week 1: June 9th , 2 to 8pm
Week 2: June 16th, 2 to 8pm
Week 3: June 23rd, 2 to 8pm
Off week: June 30th, (Canada Day)
Week 4: July 7th, 2 to 8pm
Week 5: July 14th, 2 to 8pm
Week 6: July 21st, 2 to 8pm
Week 7: July 28th, 2 to 8pm
Mid-season tourney: Aug 4th, 9am to 5pm (Exhibition)
Off week: Aug 11th, (Eid-ul-Adha)
Week 8: Aug 18th, 2 to 8pm
Week 9: Aug 25th, 2 to 8pm
Off week: Sept 1st (Labour day)
Playoffs: Sept 7th, 2 to 10pm (Saturday Semi-Finals)
Playoffs: Sept 8th, 3:30 to 8pm (Finals)
